작물생리학 실험실은 작물의 수분생리, 영양생리, 광합성과 호흡생리, 물질대사생리에 대한 기본적인 원리와 기작의 이해를 바탕으로 작물의 발아, 생장, 개화, 수정, 등숙 등 작물생활사 전반에 걸쳐 발생하는 생리생화학적 현상을 연구합니다.
기후변화, 자원고갈에 따른 불리한 작물 생산 환경 하에서, 작물의 생산성과 품질을 향상시키기 위해 농업자원의 이용효율을 높이는 것이 중요합니다. 따라서 광·물·양분에 의해 발현되는 작물의 생리적 변화에 대한 해석과 효율적인 활용기술을 개발하기 위하여 분자생리학적·생화학적·작물학적 방법론을 바탕으로 연구를 수행하고 있습니다.
